Fort Stanton, New Mexico
Nestled on the edge of the Lincoln National Forest, Rob Jaggers Campground offers a quiet retreat where pine-scented air, starlit skies, and the gentle ripple of the lake meet the simple comfort of a well-made bed.
Our Story
Rob Jaggers Campground sits where the foothills of the Sacramento Mountains meet the high desert, a place where the pace of life slows to the rhythm of wind through pines and water against shore.
We've cared for this stretch of land for years — not as a destination to be developed, but as a sanctuary to be shared. Whether you arrive in a travel trailer, a pickup with a camper shell, or simply with a tent and a stack of firewood, you'll find here the same standard we'd hold for our own family: clean sites, respectful neighbors, and the kind of stillness you can't manufacture.
This isn't a resort. It's a campground that treats the outdoors as its finest amenity, and your comfort as something worth getting right.

The Lincoln National Forest doesn't ask for much — just good shoes, a sense of curiosity, and an willingness to lose track of time.
Miles of trail network through mixed conifer forest, with elevations ranging from 6,000 to over 10,000 feet. Wildflowers in summer, aspens gold in fall.
Our on-site lake offers trout fishing, while nearby reservoirs and mountain streams provide additional angling opportunities. Gear and permits available locally.
Far from city lights, the night sky here is unfiltered. Bring a blanket, a thermos, and your patience — the Milky Way will do the rest.
Mule deer, elk, turkeys, and over 200 bird species call these mountains home. Early mornings near the lake are especially rewarding.
